The other side of the tree
Vratatosk does not exist in Norse mythology. His story is a Mitosk creation inspired by the figure of Ratatosk. But in Mitosk we decided to give her an alter ego: someone who shares her essence but expresses it in a completely different way.
His name comes from adding the prefix vra to the original. The name plays on the idea of a version that takes the opposite view. Vratatosk is our reverse Ratatosk: the same intelligence, the same knowledge of the worlds, the same usefulness… but without the coat of friendliness that defines his counterpart.
A voice with a touch of sarcasm
If Ratatosk guides you with enthusiasm and warmth, Vratatosk does it with a direct voice and a touch of sarcasm. His humour challenges ideas without humiliating you: making mistakes is still part of the game.
But he is loyal. Deeply loyal. Vratatosk's spirit draws directly from Rick Sanchez, the most unpredictable genius in modern science fiction: a character of boundless intelligence, dry wit and a capacity for wonder he rarely admits to openly. Rick never does things the conventional way, but he almost always gets the job done, one way or another.
Vratatosk has that same energy. He is not the companion who will pat you on the back at the drop of a hat, but if you want an ally who combines curiosity with an attitude that keeps things interesting, you will not find a better partner for adventuring through the worlds of knowledge.
