Some projects are born from a business plan. Others are born from a real need, lived first-hand. NutQuest is the latter.
It all started with a very simple question: why does studying have to be so hard to sustain? Not hard as in complicated, but hard as in boring, lonely, directionless. Open a book, highlight, close the book, repeat. And a week later, start again because memory doesn’t cooperate.
A problem everyone knows
If you’ve ever had to prepare for an important exam, a competitive exam, a university degree or simply learn something new out of pure curiosity, you know what we mean. Traditional studying works for a lot of people — until it stops working. Motivation runs dry, concentration falters and the sense of progress disappears.
But when you play a well-designed video game, something different happens. You know at every moment where you are, what you’ve achieved and what comes next. There’s a map. There are challenges. There are rewards that make sense. Time flies without you noticing.
What if studying could feel like that?
From idea to project
NutQuest was born from that question. We’ve spent months building an answer that combines the best of structured learning with the best of games: clear progression, quality content, intrinsic motivation and an experience that makes you want to come back.
The idea is not to replace effort. Studying requires dedication and that isn’t going to change. The idea is that this effort is visible, tangible and has a clear horizon. That each session leaves a mark. That knowledge genuinely accumulates.
What NutQuest is
NutQuest is a learning app where you bring the content and the app turns it into a game world. Your history syllabus, your medicine notes, the language you want to learn: all of it can be transformed into adaptive exercises, study cards with spaced repetition, and an experience that grows with you.
At the centre of everything is Yggdrasil, the tree of knowledge. Each branch is a topic, each leaf a concept you conquer. It’s not a decorative metaphor — it’s the actual architecture on which your learning grows.
Why now
Because the technology now allows us to do it properly. Artificial intelligence has reached a point where it can understand, structure and generate academically grounded content from almost any material. Combined with decades of research into how humans learn, that gives us the tools to build something that genuinely works.
We won’t promise you magic. We will promise you care, rigour and a constant obsession with improvement.
The beginning of something
Today NutQuest takes its first steps. There’s a lot to build, a lot to learn and undoubtedly mistakes to make along the way. But we’re here, with drive and a clear purpose: to make studying more manageable, more effective and more yours.
Welcome to the forest.
